EMBODIMENT COACHING
Living in a world shaped by systems of oppression can leave deep scars – on our hearts, our bodies, and our spirits. As someone committed to liberation and healing, I understand the weight of carrying those wounds. I also know the transformative power of finding spaces where we can reconnect with ourselves and begin to heal.
Focalizing is a practice that supports this healing. It’s a soothing, somatic, and soulful process that uses the body’s natural intelligence to help us move through and metabolise layers of pain, trauma, and stuckness.
By holding space for the energy of oppression, grief, burnout, and stress that lives in our bodies, Focalizing enables us to perform emotional alchemy, transforming our difficult experiences into courage, confidence, and calm.
It’s also a space to reflect on and navigate our own privilege with creativity, clarity and compassion – acknowledging the ways we hold power and using it to support justice and collective healing.
This work is for you if:
You’re navigating the wounds of systemic oppression and marginalisation.
You’re working in spaces that you don’t fully feel seen or heard in, and feel the need for a soft place to land – a space free of pressure, judgment, or expectations.
You’re reflecting on your own privilege and want to explore how to hold it responsibly and compassionately.
You’re seeking a healing practice rooted in compassion, justice, and wholeness.
You want to reconnect with the power that resides within you and open to new possibilities.
This is about more than self-care – this is about tending to the complexities of who we are and the systems we navigate.
This is about healing the harm caused by oppression and privilege alike, so we can rise in our truth, joy, and strength – and create a world where everyone can thrive.

FAQs
-
Focalizing is a gentle, somatic-based approach to healing that helps release stuck energy, resolve emotional blocks, and access inner wisdom. It shifts focus away from traditional talking therapies and into the body’s natural ability to process and heal through sensation, imagery, and energy awareness.
-
Unlike traditional therapy, which often emphasises analysing the past, Focalizing bypasses overthinking and works with the body’s intelligence to bring clarity and relief. It is a non-linear, intuitive process that helps you access a deep state of presence and transformation—without needing to relive painful experiences.
-
I am not a qualified psychotherapist or counsellor. Focalizing is a distinct modality that does not involve diagnosis, treatment plans, or medicalised approaches. Because it is not a clinical intervention, it can be safely and ethically practised by trained facilitators from a range of backgrounds - including coaching, embodiment, energy work and spiritual care.
-
I trained as a Focalizing practitioner with the Focalizing Institute, founded by Michael Picucci, PhD. My practice is also shaped by over 20 years of deep personal development work and a rich tapestry of training and mentorship across healing, embodiment and anti-oppression.
I’ve been mentored and trained by an array of teachers such as Camille Sapara Barton, Michelle C. Johnson, Cultures Connecting, Sonali Fiske, Kendra Cunov, Kasia Urbaniak, and Amy Guerrero. My work is also informed by my own healing using modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Reiki, as well as my grounding in spiritual mentorship, anti-oppressive facilitation and meditation.
This work is a living integration of all I’ve studied, survived, and practised – and I hold it with deep reverence, rigour and care.
-
Focalizing is not suitable for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises or complex psychiatric conditions that require specialist support, such as psychosis or suicidal ideation. It is also not a substitute for therapy, medical treatment or crisis intervention. If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, I recommend discussing whether this modality is appropriate for you.
-
Focalizing can support emotional regulation, nervous system soothing, trauma recovery, creative clarity, and deeper self-connection. It’s especially helpful if you feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected from your body, intuition or sense of purpose.
-
Not at all. Focalizing is accessible to everyone—no prior experience is needed. Sessions are guided gently and paced with care, allowing you to follow your own internal rhythm in a safe and supportive environment.
-
Each session begins by exploring a current challenge, desire or area of curiosity. I’ll then guide you into the body using attention, imagery and resourcing. From here, we follow what emerges—whether that’s emotion, sensation, memory, or stillness. The process is organic, deeply embodied and grounded in present-moment awareness.
-
I work with clients through coaching packages, with a minimum commitment of three months. This allows us to build a strong foundation of trust, deepen your practice over time, and create lasting change.
