Allow me to introduce myself…
To be honest, the timing feels… wild.
DEI is under relentless attack; it is being devalued and defunded, and words like justice, equity, and liberation are being distorted and weaponised to roll back our hard-won rights.
Our trans siblings are under attack; disabled people are being pushed further into poverty; and genocide, oppression and marginalisation continue as we watch in fear, shock and numbness.
I constantly question my sanity in starting this business. I’ve asked myself more than once: Am I really doing this now?
And the answer, from the marrow of my being, is yes.
I’m embodying the Black women who raised me, whose shoulders I stand on, who taught me that to be a Black woman means to make a way out of no way.
Because the work we are here to do is not a trend. It isn’t about convenience.
And it is not optional.
It comes wrapped in fire, faith and an unshakeable sense deep in our bones that another world is not only possible, but necessary.
And somehow, the timing is holy.
For me personally, it feels like a resurrection.
Regeneration, rebirth, and renewal.
Hope rising from the ashes.
Remembering that what’s buried isn’t gone – it’s transforming.
So I’m proud (and slightly terrified!) to share that I'm launching:
🌿 Karen Larbi Coaching & Consulting 🌿
A sacred, strategic, and soulful offering for those ready to do the real work of transformation.
💫 I offer:
🔹 Compassion-centred DEI training and consultancy
🔹 Liberatory, anti-oppressive facilitation
🔹 Embodiment coaching and anti-oppressive leadership chaplaincy
🔹…and a soon-to-be launched framework that invites individuals, organisations, and movements into building liberatory cultures.
My work is grounded in womanism – a tradition rooted in the everyday lives, spiritual wisdom, and liberation work of Black women.
And in true womanist fashion: the table is set, there’s food for everyone, and if you don’t see what you need – I’ll make something just for you.
Because this is more than a business.
It’s a sanctuary for nourishment, transformation, and joy in the workplace and in our movements.
A refusal to abandon our values when they’re most under threat.
So I'm calling in those who are justice-driven, open to learning, community-oriented, wellbeing advocates, decision-makers, leaders, changemakers, committed to collective healing and liberation. If that sounds like you, you are welcome.
I also need prayer warriors from all faiths, denominations and none because… whew!
So, let’s talk.
